re "It's like an acoholic not admitted they've a drink problem"

Actually its like an alcoholic blaming the barman for serving them so many drinks, then refusing to pay for them, then asking for more drinks!

The current yield on a 10 year greek bond is 25% - but what does that actually mean?

It means that if you buy a 10,000 euro bond payable to you by the Greek government in 2021 you have to pay just 1,100 euros for it today. Too good to be true? You betcha!

[1,100 euros plus 25% interest is 1,375 after one year, add a futher 25% and its worth 1,718, after 10 years its worth over 10,000 euros)

Would anyone hand cash over to an alcoholic or drug user and expect them to use it wisely? Well - this is Greece. When you have one of thier Mayors publicly stating "why should rich Greeks pay tax as the Government is corrupt" - there is no hope. So, ban any more bail outs as they don't have the means to repay. For all the innocent Greeks who do pay tax, the pensioners this is a very sad situation but yet again GREED of the rich.

Britain should get out of the Euro zone now. Cancel our membership before Greece and the others finally drown otherwise they are going to drag us down with them. We get to keep all of the money we are wasting on our European Community donations (which will help). And we can trade equally with the rest of the world.

To be frank.. Greece has got to join the real world and that will ultimately dictate that they leave the Eurozone.
So if it were to be done then best it is done soonest!

A Greek MP who advises the country's prime minister has told Sky News that Greece could run out of money.

WHAT DO THEY DO WITH IT ALL?

To anyone who believes the UK economy is like Greece wake up the only similarity is the super rich pay no tax and the people of Greece agree with that so like our super rich who r having tax reductions. However the ordinary people of the UK do not agree that the rich should have all the concessions. Also the Greeks firmly believe that if they go back to their Drachmar it will be worth a lot more than the Euro so in a nutshell if the go back forget the holiday income people will find better deals away from Greece so bang goes their holiday income kick them out they have no intention of paying back or taxing their own high earners as much as l like Greek holidays their other areas just as good and better value for money bye Greece enjoy the third world

What a joke, Greece lied to get into the EU and got a slapped wrist. Then they lied to get the EURO and got burnt..... now they hold they hands out playing the victim. The people don't even blame the EU for this mess. It's like an acoholic not admitted they've a drink problem.
