Whose brain would you like to hack?‏

NEED TO KNOW
  • One scientist wants to read Dr. Stephen Hawking's brain
  • He created iBrain, a brain scanner that he says reads thoughts
  • Whose brain would you pick if you could get your hands on it?

A San Diego scientist says he's created the world’s first mobile brain scanner. According to HLN affiliate KGTV, the device fits over a person’s head and essentially reads the person’s thoughts. Cool, huh?
Philip Low, the man behind the apparatus, says iBrain converts the person’s thoughts into unique brain waves which are then mapped out. Low’s goal is to eventually have a computer analyze and read the person’s thoughts out loud.
And he has one person in particular in mind (pun intended) that he’d like to try the iBrain on: Dr. Stephen Hawking.
"We'd like to find a way to bypass his body, pretty much hack his brain," said Low.
This got us thinking: Whose brain would we hack into if we could?
1. Pets: Our readers said you’d like to know what your dog is thinking when it won’t stop barking.
2. Men: Yep, a recent poll on our Facebook page reveals that you’d like a little extra help deciphering guys’ thoughts.
3. Kim Kardashian: After her interview on the “Today” show, who wouldn’t want to pick her brain and find out if Kanye’s really just a friend?
Besides cracking celebrities’ deepest secrets, iBrain could provide major medical advances: Helping to monitor sleeping disorders and diagnose disorders like autism, depression, and PTSD, according to the affiliate.
"This is very exciting for us because it allows us to have a window into the brain. We're building technology that will allow humanity to have access to the human brain for the first time," said Low.
